Halil Vurucuoğlu, born in 1984, was graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Fine Arts Faculty in 2007. He has had six solo exhibitions in total, including his first solo exhibition in 2008, titled Bamboo, and one in Bremen. Participated many fairs and group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad, Vurucuoğlu lives and works in Istanbul. Visual language of the works of Halil Vurucuoğlu, who defines his painting process as a mental and physical action developed by articulated layers, focuses on social phenomenons, disinformation, subconscious, human as the combination of the material and the meaning, and personal issues. As a result of an intensive searching process, the artist mastered the technic where he colors the papers with watercolor and hand cuts them. Bringing together the imagination and his personal experiences, Vurucuoğlu also use materials such as watercolor and spray paint even though he is mainly known with the paper cut works.
