Halise Karakaya

Halise Karakaya was born in 1995 in Istanbul. She currently lives between London and Istanbul. She did her education on Fashion Design. After ITU-FIT Fashion Design programme, she completed her education on fashion at Central Saint Martins.

Her work on fashion design also showed a tendency towards art. Her on going passion for painting has led her to turn to painting as well as fashion. As a result of the short term courses she took since her childhood, she started to reflect her art on canvas and exhibit her paintings as Halise Karakaya Art.

While using the harmony of colors in her works, she also takes care to reflect deep subjects on the canvas, she believes that many subjects can be drawn attention through painting.

She prefers to form the basis of her works by adopting the concept of abstract painting, planning for everyone to make inferences from themselves as well as their own thoughts.

She added dimension to the brush strokes she made by making abstract art three-dimensional with the formula she created. In addition, it creates a different texture by using linen and jute fabrics instead of canvas.
