Nazan Aydin

Nazan Aydın was born in Izmit in 1980. She completed her bachelor in the Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty. Aydın mainly experiments with watercolour techniques to create unique portraits. She creates abstractions of color and figure in her portraits, occasionally focusing on meticulous details to bring new meaning to these expressions.

Alongside portraiture, Aydın also incorporates mixed techniques to create volumetric abstract environments as well as working with character design. The artist, who currently resides in Istanbul, is also pursuing music. She continues her endeavours in this field as the lead singer of Istanbul based shoegaze band “hiçamahiç”.
