After graduating from Marmara University, Mara Gülerşen continued her journey in ceramic art under her own studio, Mara Seramik.
In her artistic practice, Gülerşen creates original designs inspired by nature and organic forms, developing her own distinctive language through the use of special ceramic techniques. She particularly works with traditional Japanese and alternative firing methods such as Raku, Naked Raku, Sagar, and Horse Tail, adding depth and character to her pieces through high-temperature firing, rapid cooling, and surface interventions.
Gülerşen's body of work spans accessories, lighting objects, sculptures, and various unique pieces. These creations, which serve both functional and aesthetic purposes—especially in interior spaces—offer a poetic touch, combining her deep material knowledge with a refined sense of form. Through collaborations with brands like Yargıcı, she brings ceramic art into the world of contemporary lifestyle, continuing to produce modern works that unite sustainability, natural elements, and artistic expression.
