Anna Botticini
Anna Botticini was born in Brescia, Italy, 1993 is a visual artist whose works explore themes related to the complex and bizarre relationships that humans have with themselves, with others, with the world and its events, creating incomprehensible, violent, and disturbing situations.
In 2017, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engraving and Graphic Art from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, analyzing a new human archetype: "The Underground Man."
In 2019, she further explored painting techniques and earned a Master's Degree in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, with a final grade of 110 cum laude and a thesis entitled "Dust: Its Existence in the Arts and in Mankind."
Since 2015, when American Appraisal awarded her first place in the Young Talents Award, she has been exhibiting, collaborating with museums and galleries both in Italy and abroad (for example, in China and Dubai).
In addition to art exhibitions and shows, she frequently hold lectures about Art and History of Art, collaborating with various associations and organizations.
Botticini's works are made of raw materials, enhanced by instinctive gestures and aesthetic courage. The canvases, stained and often left unstretched to allow them to breathe, are raw and alive.
