Nezih Çavuşoğlu

Nezih Çavuşoğlu was born in 1959 in Istanbul. He became a student of Farid Haddad, Marquerite Walsh and Tomie De Paola, great master Professor at the Department of Visual Arts Painting at New England College, USA. De Paola enabled the artist to specialize in Color theory. He participated in many group exhibitions in Switzerland and America when he was young.

He returned to Turkey in 1981, as well as professional artists, he began collecting paintings and contemporary image of Turkey in this context the investigation and has created a very large library and archive. The artist continues to work in Istanbul and Bodrum Workshops.

His works have been exhibited in many international exhibitions in Turkey and abroad and entered private and corporate collections. Believing that the universality of art must be nourished by the geography inhabited, the artist makes use of the Color, Texture and Cultural heritage of the Marmara and Aegean regions.
