Born in 1974, Aljoscha is a Ukrainian visual artist best known for conceptual installations and sculptures based on ideas of bioism, biofuturism and bioethical abolitionism. Bioism is a way to develop art objects which express visual possibilities of synthetical biology; an effort to produce art based on vitality, multiplicity and complexity.

Using materials such as polymethyl methacrylat, Aljoscha attempts to create new living forms and a new aesthetics of future organic life. Bioism extends life to lifeless subjects, thus he regards each of his works as a living being.
